Christie Marie Clark
Christie Marie Clark is a creator, educator, and advocate of social change from the eastern shore of Maryland. In 2013, she received her MFA in directing from The New School for Drama. NYC credits include: Clean; The Spider and the Wasp; Marlee Saves the World; An Office Called Eden; Ruins and Radical Methods for Radical Heartbreak (at NSD); They All Know Me (Thespian Production Slam a Thon); Clown Love (Strawberry One Act Festival) andThe Diner (Caravan Play Festival). As Assistant Director: Trojan Women; Execution of Justice (NSD). Other credits include: At Frostburg State University: The Diviners; Metamorphoses (Assistant Director); Annie Get Your Gun (Assistant Director); At Freedom Theatre: Our Town; The Outsiders. Christie is also the co-founder and artistic director of Asterism Theatre Company. She is most drawn to theatre that is bottomless: plays that reveal more with each reading, rehearsal or performance. Most of all, she loves to tell stories that have their roots the fringes of our communities, our hearts, and our minds and is endlessly fascinated by theatre's capacity to prompt social epiphany and change.
